Abstract:
The NF-Y transcription factor is a ubiquitous transcription factor complex in eukaryotes, recent studies have found that NF-Y plays an important role in plant embryo development, photosynthesis, flowering time regulation, stress response and so on. Therefore, studying NF-Y transcription factors is important to improve soybean resistance. We cloned the GmNF-YA11 gene from soybean in order to preliminarily understand its basic characteristics. The full-length cDNA sequence is 1 553 bp containing open reading frame of 912 bp, encodes a protein of 303 amino acids with a molecular weight of 34.06 kD and pI 9.50. The GmNF-YA11 genome contains five exons and four introns. Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that GmNF-YA11 and GmNF-YA13 were on the same branch. Transcriptional activity analysis showed that GmNF-YA11 transcription factor didn’t have transcriptional activation function. The analysis of tissue specific expression pattern showed that GmNF-YA11 was expressed in all the tissues detected, the highest expression in the seeds and the lowest expression in the flowers.
