Abstract:
The type of pod containing one, two, three and four seeds and vertical distribution of number decided the formation of yield in soybean. In this research two recombinant inbred lines populations with one common parent were used to detect QTL by combining a SSR linkage map and the phenotypic data of number one-, two-, three- and four-seed pod in upper, middle and lower part of main stem through inclusive compositive interval mapping method. The result showed that there were significant variations for the number one-, two-, three- and four-seed pods among upper, middle and lower part and the genetic basement controlling vertical distribution of pod number between two populations was different. There were 59 QTL controlling pod number with PVE of 0-11.45% in two populations. Among all QTLs, 30 were novelly discoveried.
