Abstract:
In this experiment, three soybean cultivars, Zhonghuang 35, Huayan 0926 and Huayan 1, were employed as materials and the effects of silicon on soybean seedling growth under enhanced UV-B radiation (5.4 kJ?m-2?d-1) were determined. The main results are as follows:the enhanced UV-B radiation showed much more inhibiting effect on the biomass and chlorophyll content rather than the leaf areas, internode lengths and plant heights in Zhonghuang 35,while there were significant differences showed in Huayan 0926 and Huayan 1. Silicon could alleviate the adverse effects of enhanced UV-B radiation on soybean seedling growth to some extent. It is suggested that there is of great significance to select suitable cultivar and apply silicon fertilizer in soybean production for ultravioresistant cultivation.
