Abstract:
The soyben proline-rich protein gene GmPRP was cloned early. In order to research the function of GmPRP in response to salt stress, the pPZP.GmPRP plant expression vector was constructed, in which GmPRP gene was driven by constitutive promoter CaMV35S. Seven positive transgenic .Arabidopsis plant lines were obtained through Floral dip genetic transformation. The seed germination rate of GmPRP transgenic Arabidopsis were higher than that of wild-type Arabidopsis under salt treatment GmPRP transgenic Arabidopsismaintained lower level of malondialdehyde compared to that of wild-type Arabidopsis under salt treatment. These results showed that GmPRP transgenic Arabidopsisincreased tolerance to salt compared to wild-type plants.
