- Abstract:
- ?In order to explore the mechanism of exogenous sllicion(Si)on improving salt tolerance, the Glycine soja were grown hydroponically to study the effect of exogenous Si on the activities of major antioxidant enzymes, the content of chlorophyll, net photosynthetic rate(Pn),and reactive oxygen species(ROS)in leaves under NaCl stress. The results showed that exogenous Si could enhance growth of salt treatment Glycine soja?and decreased contents of MDA, O2-and H2O2 in leaves under salt stress, while content of chlorophyll, net photosynthetic rate and antioxidant enzymes activities including superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),and ascorbate peroxidase(APX)were increased. Therefore, exogenous Si could enhance salt tolerance of Glycine soja. The results of the present experiment coincided with the conclusion that Si may be involved in the metabolic or physiological changes in plants.
