Abstract:
In order to study the physiological and biochemical effects of Se soaking on soybean seed germination. Germination rate, germination index and activities of SOD, POD and PPO of soybean seed with different Se concentrations were studied.The results showed that suitable Se concentration seed soaking could raise the germination rate and index, and also enhance the activities of SOD, POD and PPO. The most suitable Se concentration of seed soaking was 0.05 mg·L-1.When Se concentration was higher than 0.05 mg·L-1, soybean seed germination was inhibited and the three enzymes activities decreased.
