Abstract:
Synthesis of biodiesel catalyzed by alkali was studied in this study. The optimized process conditions such as catalyst, temperature, reactants and reaction time were determined through orthogonal experiments. The results showed that in the presence of 0.5% NaOH as catalyst, 94.5% of biodiesel were obtained in the reaction of methanol and soybean oil with the molar ratio of 5∶1 for 50 min at the temperature of 60℃.
