Abstract:
The solid base catalysts K2O/Ti-HMS was prepared by impregnation method. The technics of transesterification to produce biodiesel from soybean oil catalyzed by solid base catalyst K2O/Ti-HMS was studied. The effects of reaction temperature, reaction time, K2O load, methanol to oil molar ratio and catalyst dosage were discussed on the reaction. The results showed that the optimal reaction condition was reaction temperature 60℃, reaction time 3 h, K2O loading 7 mmol?g-1, n (methanol)∶n (soybean oil) = 16∶1, catalyst amount of soybean oil quality 3% of the ester exchange under these conditions the conversion of more than 75%.
