Abstract:
The objectives of this study were to describe the genetic characteristics of nodes of main stem, internode length and their relationship with soybean plant height. Three cross combination of Gongjiao 20126-58×Jimidou 1,Gongjiao 9112×Gongjiao 20126-58 and Gongjiao 9112×Jimidou 1 were made and the data of nodes of main stem, each internode length of the filial generation were recorded and analyzed. Results showed that nodes of main stem was a quantitative trait, and it had a positive linear relationship with plant height. The dwarfism effect of Jimidou 1 was built on the basis of the stable control of nodes number on main stem and the further control of internode length. Nodes number on main stem and each internode length were combined in the control of plant height, however, the role of the internode length in plant height was still unclear.
