Abstract:
The black soybean seedlings were sprayed with mannitol, subsequently, their morphological characteristics, growth status were observed; and the soybean seeds were soaked with different concentration of hydogen peroxide(H2O2) and sodium chloride(NaCl) respectively, then the seedling proline content was determined, to study the effect of different treatments on drought resistance of black soybeans. Results indicated that the black soybean seedlings treated by mannitol resulted in lower plant, compacted plant-type,small and thin leaves,and longer root hair , hence, the drought resistance of the seedlings was enhanced. The proline content showed increase-and-then-decrease trend with the increasing of H2O2 and NaCl concentration. Compared with control, NaCl seed soaking treatment significantly increased proline content, while H2O2 treatment decreased proline content. Hence, NaCl seed soaking is helpful for increase drought resistance in soybean.
