Abstract:
In view of the application prospects of the molecular marker-assisted selection in breeding by the molecular markers closely linked with restorer gene,this experiment aims to locate restorer gene of the M-CMS WR016 with SSR markers.Fertilities of F1,F2 generations of W931A(sterile line)×WR016(restorer line) showed that M-CMS belonged to single-gene gametophyte sterility.This experiment applies SSR molecular markers to locate the restorer gene of the restorer line WR016.Three SSR markers in A1 linkage group,Satt684,Satt276 and Satt545,genetically linked to the restorer gene,were selected by screening of SSR markers with F2 segregation population.The genetic distance between the markers and the restorer gene were 29.5,10.7 and 14.1 cM,respectively.Although 10.7 cM is still a large distance,it laid the foundation for further location of restorer gene.
