Abstract:
To investigate the effect of soy isoflavone on the serum lipid level of postmenopausal women via drinking soybean milk.The tested postmenopausal women were randomly divided into four groups:control group,therapy groupⅠ,ⅡandⅢ,every day a tested woman drink 0,400,600 and 1 000 mL soybean milk for 42 days for each group.The isoflavones concentration in soybean milk was determined with HPLC and the serum lipid level was tested by automatic biochemical analyzer.Serum lipid level of therapy groupⅠand Ⅱhad no obvious change compared with control group,while the serum lipid level of therapy groupⅢ significantly decreased after drinking 1 000 mL soybean milk(including soy isoflavones 57.45 mg).Result suggests that certain dose of soy isoflavone can lower the serum lipid level of postmenopausal women.
