Abstract:
Seed length and width were related to soybean yield.The inheritance for the seed length and width may provide the foundation for mapping of quantitative trait loci(QTL),marker assisted selection and gene clone.In this article,P1and P2,F1and F2:3populations derived from the direct and reciprocal crosses between Lishuizhongzihuang and Nannong 493-1 were used to investigate the inheritance for the two traits mentioned above by using joint segregation analysis approach.The results showed that there were significant differences between the direct and reciprocal cross F1for seed length and width,and seed length was controlled by one major gene with additive- dominant effects plus polygenes with additive-dominance-epistatic effects while polygenes with additive effect was principal in seed width.
