Abstract:
Evaluating and utilizing of soybean germplasm is an important part in soybean breeding. To have a better utilization of Huanghuai summer soybean germplasm,agronomic characters of 383 soybean accessions were tested and correlation analysis were carried out. Results showed there were great variations between main agronomic characters,such as growing period,plant height and number of pods per plant. Yield correlated to pods per plant(r=0.714**)and fertile pods per plant(r=0.712**)significantly,growing period correlated to height of lowest pods(r=0.593**)and nodes of main stem (r=0.450**) significantly. Seeds per pod had significant negative correlation with growing period(r=-0.586**)and 100-seed weight(r=-0.437**),fertile pods per plant had significant negative correlation with 100-seed weight(r=-0.445**).These evaluations of agronomic characters could provide more information for soybean breeders in their breeding program.
