Abstract:
Salt stress produces secondary oxidant stress on plants. Antioxidative enzymes play an important role in removing reactive oxygen species. The effects of salt stress on activity of antioxidative enzymes in Glycine soja (the highly salt tolerant Antisalt) and Glycine max (the salt tolerant HN40) were determined and analyzed to discuss the salt tolerant mechanism of soybean. The results indicated that the Glycine soja xhibit stronger salt tolerance than Glycine max through rapid responds and higher level of antioxidative enzymes activities.
