Abstract:
The study deals with the effect of low potassium (K) stress on protective enzyme system withdifferent supplementation of potassium concentration in four soybean varieties ("Tiefeng No. 31", "Shen-nong Nothat there is great difference in the four soybean varieties in the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD),peroxidase (POD), and catalase (CAT). The controlled plants under low K exhibited an increasing ofSOD 、POD and CAT activities in different degrees. The activity of SOD appears earlier than that of CATand POD, but the difference of the activity of CAT and POD is more significant than that of SOD betweenthe effective types. So the difference of potassium nutrient effective types can be expressed by the differ-ence of the protective enzyme systems.
