Abstract:
Total 143 soybean cultivars (lines)were inoculated with a mixture of SMV SC -1 ~ SC -8 strain groups .The results showed that most of the soybean cultivars previously identified as resistant to SMV strain groups in the fieldwere susceptible while some new breeding lines were highly resistant .Thirty -two accessions with resistance to the mixtureof SC -1 ~ SC -8 were screened out , and their race -specific resistance to the mostly prevailing strain group SC -1 and virulent strain group SC -8 were studied further .Twenty -one accessions highly resistant to the SMV strain group(s)were identified .Among them the cultivars ” Kefeng No .1” , ” Dabaima” ,”Shandong 7222” , ”Pixianchadou” , ”Fuyang 250” , ”Qihuang No .1” , ”Qihuang No .22” , and ”PI96983” were elite ones , with resistance to both mixture inoculumof eight strains and single inocula of SC -1 and SC -8 .
