Abstract:
The dif ferent salt tolerance of w ild soybean (JWS salt -tolerant , N23232 salt -sensitive)w ere usedto study the changes of Na+ 、Cl-contents and active oxygen metablism in the leaves under NaCl stress by themethods of pot experiment .The result s show ed that the Na+ 、Cl-contents increased in the leaves of the tw opopulation w ild soy bean under salt stress and the Na+ 、Cl-contents w as greater in N23232 than that in JWS .For salt -sensi tive w ild soybean(N23232), the O-.2 generation rate and H2O2 content increased , product of lipidperoxidation(MDA)and elect rical conductivity increased in the leaves under 130 mmol/L NaCl stress .Therew ere some significant ly posi tive co rrelation among the Na+ 、Cl- 、O-.2 、H2O2 、MDA and elect rical conductivityrespectively , and also between O-.2 、H2O2 and MDA 、elect rical conductivity in the salt -sensitive w ild soybean(N23232).It suggested that the content of Na+ 、Cl-increased lead to the accumulation of active oxy gen andthe o xidat ive damage .This oxidative damage expressed as the increase of MDA , the decrease of membrane -associatedenzyme(H+-ATPase and H+-PPase)activi ties and the increase of elect rical conductivi ty .How ever ,the Na+ 、Cl-contents in the leaves of salt -tolerant w ild soybean were maintained at a lower level , and nochanges were detected in O-.2 、H2O2 and MDA contents wi th respect to the cont rol .Therefo re , the damage effectsof active oxy gen species w ere lower on the salt -tolerant w ild soybean than that on the salt -sensitive ones,and the membrane -associated enzyme(H+-ATPase and H+ -PPase)activities maintained at a higher level.The results indicated that the high level of H+ -ATPase and H+ -PPase activities in salt -tolerant w ild soybeanmight be one of the factors of salt tolerance .
