Abstract:
Five soybean varieties were inoculated wi th 10 races of Cercospora soj ina Hara , and the peroxidase(POD)activities in leaves of bo th the inoculated and healthy plant s were studied .The results show ed that PODactivi ty in leaves increased sig nificant ly w ith time in both resistant and susceptible varieties af ter inoculation , butthere was not signif icant difference of POD activities between the resistant and susceptible varieties .Therefore ,the increase of POD activi ty w as a common of biochemical response to the infection of races of Cercospora soj inaHara .
