Ef fect of planting time on y ield and agronomic characters of 3 ext remely early soybean verities wasstudied in Harbin .The result s show ed that planting time had a tremendous influence on the yields of early soybeanvarieties .The higher dry mat ter w eight and seed yield could be obtained in Harbin if soy bean varieties w ith85 -100 grow th period were planted between May 15 and May 30 .Planting time had a significant inf luence onmany ag ronomic characters of ext remely early soybean variet ies .The dry matter weight w as alw ays an importantcharacter for yield of early variety under any plant ing time .And the percentage of shriveled seeds was the majorfactor for decreasing yield .
