Abstract:
Npt -II and Barnase gene w as int roduced into soybean(Glycine max (L .)Merr .)immature cotyledonousand cotyledon nodes by gene transformation mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens .Kanamycin resistant(kmR)plantlets w ere obtained by 3 -4 cycles screening in selective condition .Thepresence of banase gene in the transgenic plants w ere confirmed by PCR .Result s of PCR analysis proved that T-DNA was integ rated into the genome of soybean .Alterant plants positive for barase gene , the pollen grains incomplete male sterile were 98 %.Facto rs influencing agrobacterium -mediated soy bean t ransfo rmation w ere investigated
