Abstract:
Some physiological facto rs w ere determined to study their relations with tolerance ofsoybeans to acid and Al toxicity in green house pot - growing ex periment. The result sshow ed that pho tosynthetic rates w ere significantly low er under Al stress ( Al saturation75% , pH4. 6) , than that under no st ress treatment but higher than tha t of over- doselimed treatment ( pH 7. 3 Al saturatuon 13% ) , and v arieties with taller tolerance w ere notaffected under Al stress as compared wi th no st ress treatment ( pH5. 6 Al saturation 17% ) .Tolerant varieties w ere low er in both leaf and internal leaf temperatures and transpirationrate; though there w ere not dif ferences in the content of CO2 betw een cells among the t reatments.Varieties with taller tolerance tended to be low er in CO2 content. Correlation analysisindicated that photosynthetic rate w as positively correlated with bo th leaf and inter leaf temperaturesand showed no correlation wi th CO2 content between cells.
