Abstract:
Under popula tion co ndi tion, pho tosynthetic proper ties of fasciated stem so ybean( Chinese Fasciated Stem) a t pod set ting and pod filling stag es w ere measured and compared.The result s w ere that pho tosynthetic rate o f fasciated so ybean wa s hig her thanhigh - yield va riety, Heino ng 37, and similar to high pho to sy nthetic ra te v ariety ,Heino ng 40; there wa s a la rg er leaf a rea per plant in fasciated stem which represented ast rong ability o f obtaining sunligh t; mo re pho to sy nthate w as sy nthesi zed and t ranspo rtedeffectiv ely into stem, flowers a nd pods, so tha t hig her yield could be achieved. Thesephotosy nthetic properties a re useful to improv e soybean by breeding.
