Abstract:
Inheritance of isof lav one content in soybea n seeds w as inv estig ated by the g eneticmodel of quali ta tiv e- quanti tativ e ( Q- Q) trait s. Result s indicated tha t iso flav one contentw as a typical Q- Q t rai t co nt ro lled by a majo r g ene as w ell as polygenes. In themajo r g ene effect , there ex isted additiv e ef fect and domina nt ef fect , and dif ferent in v ariouscro sses. Genetic v ariatio n caused by plo ygenes also va ries wi th crosses, which w asabout one seventeenth to one thi rd o f the g enetic va ria tion of the ma jo r g ene.
