Abstract:
A comparative analy sis of the compo si tio n of PC a nd MGDG molecular species together wi th determination of to tal fat ty acids w as co nducted in the so ybean cv A6 and inA5 , a low 18∶ 3 muta nt , to ev aluate the ex pression o f this mutatio n in the tw o classeso f lipids amo ng v arious tissues. 16∶ 0 and 18∶ 2 lev el s in roo ts w ere hig her than in hypecotyl, cotyledo ns, epicotyl and leav es. 18∶ 3 lev el w as low er than 18∶ 2 lev el inroot s. 18∶ 3 lev el in leaves w as hig her tha n in o ther tissues. 18∶ 3 lev el in hypecotyl ,cotyledo ns, epico tyl and leav es of A5 w ere hig her tha n that of A6. The amo unt ( mo l% )o f 18∶ 0 /18∶ 3( r= 0. 872** ) , 18∶ 1 /18∶ 3( r= - 0. 958* * ) , and 18∶ 2 /18∶ 3( r= -0. 965 * * ) w ere negativ e and posi tive rela tion at 1% lev el.
