Abstract:
The cultiva r 58- 161, released in Jiang su, appeared to be an impo rtant a ncest ralparent. From 58- 161, as direct parent , tw elv e cul tiv ars w ere derived, and in turn, 49cultiva rs w ere further deriv ed f rom them, among w hich 29 prossessed 58- 161 ’s cy toplasm.The total 61 cul tiva rs could be classified into fiv e pedig ree g roups. The nuclea rand cy to plasmic cont ributio n o f 58- 161 to the released soybea n cul tiv ars during 1923-1995 in China w ere 2. 86% and 4. 49% , indicating 58- 161 being th e most po tential ancestral parent from Hua ng- Huai- Hai area. Mo st of the deriv ed cul tiv ars w ere f romthe crosses of 58- 161 wi th Xudou No. 1, Pixianruantiao zhi , and Nanno ng 493- 1, asw ell a s thei r descendent cul tiva rs.
