Abstract:
Pot and so lution cul ture ex periments w ere conducted to study the effect s of seleniumo n glutathione pero xidase ( GSH- Px ) activi ty in soybean pla nt s. Result s indicatedthat selenium increased the GSH- Px activi ty in so ybean plant in bo th pot ex perimentand solutio n cul ture, F= 58. 67* * and F= 11. 38** respectiv ely. In so lutio n culture, thedry w eig ht of soybean plant in the t reatment o f 0. 05 mg Se L- 1 increased by 35. 01%compared wi th that in co nt rol ( no selenium) , F= 8. 33** . In po t experiment , 1. 64 mgSe po t- 1increased the resi stance of soy bean to spider mi te sig nificantly. As a resul t, thesoybean yield increased by 30% compared w ith tha t of co ntrol , F= 6. 88* * .
