Abstract:
This paper studied roo t and shoo t competi tio n betw een soy bean ( Gly cien max )and goo segrass ( Eleusine indica ) . The result s show ed that the biomass of soy bean w asreduced to 88% o f co ntrol w eig ht by root competi tion, to 81% of cont rol w eigh t byshoot competi tion, a nd to 75% by the combina tion of the two. Mea nw hile the competitive abi li ty of soybean is st ronger than tha t of go oseg rass.
