- The Chinese v arieties, America n o nes, Japa nese o nes a nd the systems ( all 319 materials) had been done the inv estigation fo r the appearing f requency o f stereo scopicbranching individual. The result s show tha t the a ppearing f requency of stereo scopicbranching indiv idual o f Ja panese va rieties a nd the system is higher tha n the Chinese onesand American. Among them, the sy stem, No. Zhongxi breed by the cent re ag riculturalex periment i s the highest. The mea n is to 42. 1% . The later new sy stem is dev elo ped,the higher appearing f requency of stereo scopic branching individual is the posi tiv e co rrelationbetw een the a ppearing f requency of stereosco pic branching indiv idual and yieldingabi li ty o r resista nce to lodging was o bserv ed.
