Abstract:
Thi rty-one so ybean v arieties( lines) wi th di fferent pod bea ring habi t w ere tested inthe study. The first , seco nd, third a nd fourth plants from the middle tw o lines of thefour line plo ts w ere studied, The border ef fects of dif ferent va rieties w ere a naly zedthrough yield component characters investiga tion, yield test and plant study. The results show ed that the sequence of bo rder ef fect w as: numbers of bra nches > yield componentcha racters ( pods per plant a nd number of seeds) and yield > stem height> heig hper 100 seeds > seed-stem ratio. The border effect of semidetermina te va rieties w asla rg er than that of indeterminate va rieties. Sig ni fica nt dif ference existed among the bo rdereffect of dif ferent v arieties. The bo rder effect s o f eight va rieties( lines) , such as Kefu8906-2, No ng da6455, Hefeng 25, etc. were smaller.
