Abstract:
Peroxidase activi ty w ere tested w ith leaves of resi stant and susceptible soy bean cultivars at 3 day s interv al up to 18 days and at 24 hours interval up to 72 hours. The results show ed tha t the perox idase activi ty in suscepti le cul tiv ars was higher tha n resistantw ithout inocula tion of SMV ( CK) . The resi stant cul tiva rs af ter inoculated wi th SMV- ashow ed a n increase in peroxidase activ ity, the peak of pero xidase activi ty w as a t 24hours af ter inocuila tion wi th SMV. But the peroxidase activity increased g rea tly af ter 9days and 15 days af ter inoculated wi th SMV - a. On the susceptible cultiv ars Thi s results w ere coincided wi th symptoms development. The infected plant s w ere symptomlesso n the resi stant cultiva r.
